PREVIEW: Not One, But Two #PghSoccer Teams Revel in #USOC2017

In my in-depth feature ahead of Wednesday’s US Open Cup 2nd Round action for DK Pittsburgh Sports, I take a look at both the Riverhounds and underdog amateurs, Tartan Devils Oak Avalon as they look forward to this next round which introduces all of the second-division teams from USL and NASL into the tournament.

In both cases on Wednesday of games involving Pittsburgh’s teams, the lower division team will be the hosts, as Tartan Devils host Louisville City FC (7 p.m. kickoff at Highmark Stadium) and the Riverhounds travel to the Windy City to take on Chicago United FC (8 p.m. kickoff).

Included in this feature Hounds captain Kevin Kerr‘s take on his Open Cup experiences (this will be his fifth Cup competition with the Hounds) — and some additional quotes from Tartan Devils Oak Avalon vice captain, E.J. McCormick after his interview with Mon Goals crew earlier this week.

Not one but two Pittsburgh teams revel in America’s oldest ongoing soccer comptetion

I will be at Highmark Stadium to provide coverage of Tartan Devils-Lou City, and we’ll provide updates on Hounds-CUFC as they come in.

We will also be planning to film another edition of #PGHSOCCER Film Series at the TDFC-LouCityFC match.
